Roof Experts installs standing seam metal roofing and snow guard systems on cottages and residential properties throughout the Muskoka region, including Gravenhurst, Bracebridge, Huntsville, Port Carling, and Lake of Bays.
Muskoka ground snow load reaches 3.0–4.0 kPa per NBC 2020 — among the highest in Southern Ontario. Large roof slopes on Muskoka cottages accumulate significant snow mass. Without proper retention, sudden snow slides above decks, walkways, and entries are a serious winter hazard.

This Muskoka project features snap-lock standing seam in matte black — a clean, contemporary finish that works well against the natural surroundings of cottage country. Snap-lock panels click together without on-site mechanical seaming, delivering the same concealed fastener system and 50+ year lifespan as mechanical lock profiles.

With ground snow loads of 3.0–4.0 kPa, Muskoka properties require a more robust snow retention approach than standard GTA installations. For this project we installed two rows of ORIMA LE2SL tubular steel snow guards — one row is insufficient for roof slopes of this length under Muskoka snow load conditions.
ORIMA LE2SL is specifically engineered for snap-lock standing seam profiles. The clamp attaches directly to the snap-lock seam rib without drilling — no penetrations through the panel surface, roof warranty preserved. Rated at 5 kN/m static load per SS 831367.
