Snow guard installation in Oakville — a lesson in timing

The homeowner initially declined snow guards at the time of roofing. After the first winter, a snow slide damaged the eavestroughs above the pool and patio area. They called us back, and we installed ORIMA LE2 tubular snow guards on the roof perimeter the following summer.

This is one of the most common scenarios we see in Oakville and across the GTA. Standing seam metal roofs are extremely efficient at shedding snow — which is exactly why snow retention becomes critical. A single snow slide off a metal roof can weigh several hundred kilograms.
