Residential standing seam metal roof with ORIMA tubular snow guard installation in Barrie, Ontario. Barrie ground snow load reaches 2.5–3.0 kPa per NBC 2020 — one of the highest in Southern Ontario. The client chose standing seam for its performance in heavy snow conditions and long-term durability.

Snow guards were installed at time of roofing — the most cost-effective approach. Layout calculated based on roof slope, panel length, and local ground snow load to protect the entrance and driveway below.
